Lasagna and Baby Carrier

I'm going to keep this short and sweet (I have a whiny little girl). Yesterday was a pretty eventful day. I was able to make 3 lasagna's (which I separated into 6 9x9 pans in case we or someone else is in need of a quick meal). I also was able to make a baby carrier.

I was able to get up early before anyone was up and start on these, so when A woke up and decided she wanted to "help" I was almost finished with them!!



For the baby carrier, I finished that this morning and because I have not showered yet and have no baby....you get a chair and a monkey! :) I can't find the tutorial I used for this right now, but will find it and share it w/ you.

Yesterdays Happenings **LOTS of pictures**!

Yesterday was a very busy day for me. I was able to get a tons done!
A few things I got done....

• Organized A's room (we're slowly getting ready to move her into a different room and get ready for the baby who will be moved into this room) and closet (although it may not look quite so organized to you it really is)
• 
• Cleaned and organized the bathroom.
• 
• Cleaned and organized the refrigerator (this was a much needed task)
• 4 Loads of laundry (don't worry I didn't take pictures of my laundry)!! :)
  
• Washed the fabric for my carrier I want to work on someday
• And last but not least I was able to finish some hair bows for A. I did these while watching Biggest Loser (the only television program I watch besides sports)!!

• I also went to a ladies Bible study.

It's all done in a days work!! :)

Recipe: Appetizer Meatballs

I got this recipe from a friend. It is one of our favorite meatball recipes around our house! I just shared with a group of women on a board I go to and thought I'd share it with you ladies also.

Meatballs:

2 lbs Ground Beef
1 lb Pork Sausage
1 Can (5 oz) Evaporated milk
2 Cups Old Fashion Oats
1/2 tsp. Pepper
2 tsp. Chili powder
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
2-3 tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Finely Chopped Onions


Sauce:
2 cups Ketchup
1 1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Liquid Smoke (I don't use this b/c I don't own any)
1/2 cup Chopped Onion

Combine first 10 ingredients, shape into 1 inch balls. Place in a single layer in a baking pan.
Combine the sauce ingredients and pour over meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour
(Yields 9 dozen)

*Sometimes I double the sauce and check after 45 minutes.
* I serve these meatballs over rice.
* If I'm freezing the meatballs I make them put them on a cookie sheet freeze and then add to a freezer bag when completely frozen.

Camera back and New Project

I am very excited I got my camera back and am able to share my first project for 2009. Yes I know it's almost half way through the month, but I finally got back into sewing!

These are awesome! I love sports and so does my husband and we hope one day Annika will also! :)

They also fit great over cloth diapers!!







It has this great yoga waist band which requires no elastic and they stay up!




Last but not least: My smiling very happy, very good listening, and potty going (at least for today) little girl!

Wanted: Camera

Well today is the day that I get to get my camera back!! I left it at my in-laws over Christmas. I finished a pair of fleece pants for Annika the other day. I'll post a picture when I get my camera.

New Year = New Name & New Look

With a New Year starting I would like to think of a more creative name for my blog...any suggestions?!? :)

I'm also working (well a friend of mine is helping) on a new look.
