I just want to apologize for being such a bad blogger *slapping hand repeatedly* life has gotten pretty busy in the Stertz household. Annika has been ear infection free for about a week. I just got over being sick. So I apologize that my posts have been far and in between. I hope to get caught up on some stuff. I haven't done much and probably won't for a bit until my house is back in order. But do not fear I will be back for my Sew...Sew...Saturday Post. I made a fun new diaper last week. So check in on Saturday!
Talk to you all later!

Sew....Sew Saturday
Well, I didn't get any sewing done this week. Annika hasn't been feeling the greatest. But my neighbor and I are working on sewing some shopping cart covers. She finished hers yesterday and I plan on making mine maybe today (maybe next week). :) I got the pattern from:
http://crafts.sleepingbaby.net/cart_cover.html
This is the only free pattern for a shopping cart cover that I could find. We made the simpler patter (the square one and will use either elastic or a draw string to connect this to a cart. So if you are in need of a shopping cart cover. You have come to the right place (well...to find one anyways).
Like I said I didn't get any sewing done, but I did finish my first official order for my new home business (Perfectly Named).
Have a great afternoon!

Out of the loop!
Sorry I've been a little out of the blogging loop. I took Annika to the doctor on Monday and it turns out that she has a double ear infection so they put her on meds for that and also an inhaler for her cough (which she has had since Thanksgiving). So I missed the dessert Tuesday...but stay tuned b/c I have a new recipe I just got and it's YUMMY!!!! And easy to make! Have a great day and I'll be back for Sew...sew...saturday!

Bloggy Giveaway
I have decided to cancel my bloggy giveaway as I am still waiting on my stamping stuff. I need to apologize. It's been kind of busy now and poor Annika has a double ear infection and is on amoxicillan and albuterol (not sure if these are spelled right). But be sure to stop back when the Bloggy Carnival rolls around I will attempt another giveaway then.

Dessert Tuesday
MMmmm...my favorite part of the week. Dessert Tuesday. Here is my first ever dessert Tuesday post....
When I got married my husband's family gave me a recipe box with all of their families recipes. I am excited to share some of those recipes with you!
This recipe is a very easy recipe and tastes soooo good!
Name: Cherry/Blueberry Dessert
Ingredients:
2 Cans of Pie filling (Cherry or Blueberry)
1 Box of White Cake Mix
1 Stick of Butter
Nuts (to your liking if desired) I skip this part, I'm not a huge nut fan
Instructions:
Feel free to serve this with either whipped cream, cool whip (my personal favorite) or a scoop of ice cream.
We made this dessert when our youth group at church put on a banquet for the adults it was a big hit!!

Sew...Sew Satruday
Here is my first sew...sew Saturday post. This week I realized that Annika was getting to big for some of her cloth diapers. So this week I made her a new dipe. Here's some action pictures.

This was made with 2 layers of flannel, an old t-shirt (you'd never know), and a micro fiber rag from the car department of walmart (folded into thirds), a little velcro and some elastic...throw it all together and bang you got yourself a dipe!!
