Recipe Tuesday

Not to long ago my friend, Sarah from Toddler World had a post on chocolate chip cookies. Whether you like them soft and chewy or crunchy. Well if you like your chocolate chip cookies soft and chewy or crunchy this recipe is for you!!

This is David's favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (mine too)! It's from a neighbor lady that everyone calls "Grandma Gabi" (she is the near by grandma to all the kids whose real grandma lives faraway). Annika just loves her!!

This is for a huge batch, but you can cut it in half. I challenge you to make the big batch the first time and give some to someone else.

2 cups shortening
1 1/2 cup white sugar
3 cups packed brown sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs (beaten)
6 cups & 2 tbsp of flour
3 tsp salt
3 tsp baking soda
3 cups chocolate chips
2 cups nuts (optional) We don't use nuts in our house...

Mix everything together and bake at 350 degrees for 5-10 minutes (whether you like them gooey or crunchy).

And for those of you (like me) who don't want to take the time to cut it in half I will do it for you!

1 cup shortening
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs (beaten)
3 cups & 1 tbsp flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
1 cup of nuts (optional)

again 350 degrees 5-10 minutes

ENJOY!
