Product Review...Kid CO Food Grinder

I just wanted to share with you all one product that I have been using for awhile now that I absolutely love!! It is a baby food grinder. This is what it looks like when you get it (lots of small pieces but easy to put together). This grinder is nice to take places with you because you can grind up just about anything with it (veggies, fruit, soft meats such as roasts, chickens, ham, turkey). My mother -in-law had one when she was raising her six kids and said that she loved it and to purchase one when we had our little girl. Well we did and it is great!! We have an electric grinder which I use for large portions, but this is nice because you can take it with you and it fits nicely in the diaper bag. Just a few easy cranks and the food is ground down into small pieces that your baby can eat and enjoy!

After Assembly:

Places you can get these from: We purchased ours from Target.com. ebay, or just search in google and it will come up.

Recent Crafts

I have been working on a lot of things...I have gotten a lot of things accomplished! Here are a few of the things I was able to get accomplished....

First up is a cloth diaper. This was suppose to be a medium....it ended up being maybe a newborn size. Guess I need to tweek the pattern a bit.

Next I have some inserts, these are my first inserts I have made with my left over cd material.

Here I have a diaper clutch. It holds a traveling wipes case and three diapers. It unfolds to be a changing mat (as you can see there is vinyl in the inside for easy clean up. I was excited to get this done so I could use it on the train ride to WI.

Last but not least is the hair ribbon holder I have been working on for Annika. I just finished it yesterday and am very excited to post a picture of the end result...
I made the two flowers on the holder they are hooked to a clip so that you can hook them to a headband. I tried to take a few action shots but Baby love was not into it.

Hope you enjoy reading about these as much as I enjoyed making them!!!

Annika's *CD Stash...

Well I know officially have a cloth diaper "stash" photo. I have been wanting to take one of these for awhile. Now I'm going to share it with all who care! :o)

In the back row:
First Basket- my all in ones (aio) for those of you who do not know these are the diapers that you do not have to use covers with (hence the all in one). I found these on craigslist (also sold brand new at Walmart.com called Kushies).

Second Basket- These are fitted diapers made by me. These are the diapers you have to use covers with.

Third Basket-These are also fitted diapers came in the stash that I purchased off of craigslist (from walmart.com)

Second Roll: (from left to right)

Covers-these are used to go over the fitted diapers (these are some *wahm brand covers)

More Kushies (brand new in package purchased from Walmart.com)

Basket: more covers these are mixture of Dappis and the Gerber vinyl pants your purchase at walmart (I didn't think I would use these as much as I do).

In the very front row are my prefolds (these are the ones our grandparents use to use on our parents) but instead of diaper pins you see those two contraptions...they are called snappies (they come in assorted colors I have yellow and white) they are way faster and easier than pins (so I am told, I have not tried prefolds yet. I was told that they are great to use on newborns but not so great on older infants and toddlers because they tend to squirm a lot more).

CD=cloth diaper
wahm=work at home mom

Thanks for taking the time to check out my stash!!!

Here's a link to a page that maybe helpful in explaining the different types of cd.

Knifty Knitter

I got this cool contraption called the "Knifty Knitter" awhile ago. While I have been using it for about a year now, I have really made a lot of hats on it. You can make just about anything on it. I have only made hats with it, but am going to branch out soon and make a shawl for baby love. Here are a few pics of some of the hats that I have made.

These are the first ones I have made (the yarn was free so I just used what I had for practice)

Here are some action shots of more recent ones. :) I have since made a pink one w/ fuzz (I'll add pictures another time. I have also made 2 that are similar to the maroon & pink one but in navy blue and gray for two little boys (a couple months younger than Annika).

Lost...but found...

I seem to have lost my camera cord over Christmas, but I was able to find another that works. So I have pictures again!!

Annika with her new walking toy (she really doesn't walk with it...she pushes it around while on her knees). :o)

This is the sight I see when I come up the stairs from doing laundry. Yes, both sit like that on a regular basis!

Check out the thighs on these babies! :o) Annika and her friend, Timmy. Timmy is 2 months younger than Annika.

Just because I thought this one was cute!

Mom, is she not like me or what?!?! Mac-n-Cheese! For those of you who do not know...I am an avid Mac-n-cheese fan. I ate this growing up ALL the time...it wasn't unusual for me to eat it everyday and sometimes twice a day (that's two boxes...I would of never warmed it up...YUCK!). To this day my favorite food is still Mac-n-cheese. Although I don't eat it quite as much, however it's not unusual for me to have it at least twice a week! Just starting her while she is young!

Hope you enjoy. I have a video of her also I will try and post another time.

Lost cord...no pictures

Okay, so I'm really bummed I have lost my cord to hook my camera up to my computer so I cannot download any adorable pictures of my baby love. I have been working on a ton of projects lately. I just finished knitting Annika a hat and 2 hats for 2 little boys (they are matching) in our church (the boys are about 2 months younger than Annika). I started making Annika some hair bows...this is way too much fun. I also made her a hair ribbon/bow/clip holder (still in progress, just got to buy wood letters to spell her name. I learned some new stitches on my knifty knitter so I might try and knit her a shawl. I have a hat I need to make as a thank you for someone. All this stuff to do and so little time!

Well, I think I'll close this up. Have a great evening!
